About the role:
As the Manager of Government Services for TQL, you will be responsible for establishing the company-wide government-related freight operations.
This includes working with executive leadership on government freight strategies, establishing, building and maintaining key internal and external relationships and ensuring government regulatory compliance to grow government-related freight revenue.

What you’ll be doing:
Develop and implement company-wide strategies for government freight services
Identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the government sector
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and contractors
Act as the internal and external TQL point-of-contact for government-related freight opportunities
Oversee the development of comprehensive proposals and bids for government contracts
Ensure compliance with all government regulations, policies, and contract requirements
Provide leadership to the operational team, ensuring the successful execution of government freight services
Collaborate with internal departments to streamline processes and optimize efficiency
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of government freight operations
Stay informed about changes in government regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
Ensure that all government freight services are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics or a related field
Proven experience in managing government freight or logistics services
Logistics sales experience with government agencies (GSA, DOD, etc.
)
In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Strong understanding of freight transportation logistics and supply chain management
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with government agencies and contractors
Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
