As an IT Business Analyst (BA), you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions.
Your primary responsibility will be to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders, developers, and project managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand their needs, pain points, and objectives.
Elicits, documents, and analyzes detailed business requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness.
Translates business requirements into technical specifications, including data flow diagrams, use cases, and process models.
Creates functional and non-functional requirements documents, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Act as a liaison between business users, development teams, and other project stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews to gather insights and resolve ambiguities.
Collaborates with developers to design and implement technical solutions.
Participate in system testing, ensuring that the delivered solution meets business requirements.
Assist in change management activities, including user training and documentation.

Support end-users during system rollouts and post-implementation phases.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Propose process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
Available to work outside normal business hours for catastrophic events as it pertains to the business.

Qualifications: (Education/Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is a plus
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in requirements gathering tools and methodologies.
Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC).
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Familiarity with Homeowner Insurance processes, products and terminology is a plus
Skills Required:
Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and database management.
Competency in Visio and Microsoft Office
Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.
g.
, CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to position one-self to work at a desk for prolonged periods of time
Must be able to view and read a computer screen for the length of the shift
Must have the ability to sit in an office setting with air conditioning and heat
Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs.
