We are growing and eager to add skill & experience to our team! \*\*_ *JOB SUMMARY* A Field Technician Level 3 or Level 4 performs the addition and removal of Common Systems equipment on live and non-live networks.
The L3/4 Tech also operates as the Lead Field Technician, thus mentoring and directing the activities of lower-level Technicians.
The L3/4 Tech assists with or performs -48DC power work described below.
The L3/4 Tech also performs Site Surveys for use in Engineering.
The L3 Tech assists higher level Test and Turn-up Technicians, Field Engineers, and Remote Support personnel.
The L4 Tech has the ability to train all L1-L3 job tasks and can do all tasks independent of supervision.
The L3 Tech will assist the L4 Tech in performing critical processes and procedures to ensure the customer’s network is viable and performing to the equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
This position is extremely challenging, requiring dedication and the ability to absorb and retain information both quickly and efficiently.
*We are project based.
While overtime is often quite frequent, 40 Hours per week is not guaranteed.
* *100% US Travel Required (must have prior travel experience) *_\*When you are on a job, you will be traveling.
There will be opportunities for PTO and occasional breaks/weekends home.

_ *JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* 1.
Complete and submit time and expense reporting and project documentation (redlines and EDPs) correctly and in a timely manner 2.
Read and become familiar with all of the requirements for each job as is written in the job Methods of Procedure prior to the job kickoff meetings.

Assure that all job materials, IRM, tools, and test equipment are on-site and accounted for prior to the start of each job.
(This includes staging all the equipment) 4.
Train lower-level technicians on all aspects of installation and documentation per SynchroNet, Inc.
and industry standards.
5.
Perform as lead on projects with lower-level technicians assisting in the completion of the projects.
6.
Safely drive company owned and rented vehicles/trailers 7.
Remove trash and debris from job sites daily, making sure that all job materials are removed prior to trash removal.
8.
Install/Remove components with live networks as a Lead Field Technician: * Ironwork * Ladder rack * Fiber raceway * Rack/Cabinet 9.
Lacing: * Power Cabling * Signal Cabling 10.
Fiber: * Running/removing fiber patch cords * Terminating to FDPs (Fiber Distribution Panels) 11.
Labeling 12.
Assist with or perform -48DC power work on live systems: * In BDFB’s: * Install breakers * Terminate feed and return power cables in BDFB and relay rack fuse panels or relay rack equipment * Terminate safety grounds on relay racks and equipment * Label equipment and cables * Install breaker alarm strapping 13.
Perform battery plant installations/removals.

Perform rectifier installations/removals.

Perform Site Surveys.

Submit ECR or RED LINE for any change that would alter the work items, assignments, and/or specifications.

Validate functionality using testing equipment.
* Proficient with initial network parameters, provisioning, and commissioning.
* Understand signal flows and system drawings.
* Understand and set up test plans.
* Proficient with setting up test sets for BER, latency, and customer required tests under direct supervision.
* Proficient with capturing test results and submitting to manager.
* Proficient with acceptance checks of equipment to ensure it meets customer needs.

* For L4: Worked as an L3 Field Tech (as a Lead Tech in power and installations) for a minimum of twelve (12) months with no unresolved issues.
* Proficient at installing and logging into multiple vendors’ equipment * Worked in a CO and/or Data center environment *Training:* * Product training as requested by Manager * Complete lower-Level Training and/or Logbook as assigned by Manager *SKILLS & ABILITIES* * Able to bend, twist, stoop, & kneel repetitively * Lift/Carry up to 80 pounds repetitively, and up or down stairs * Climb ladders safely by maintaining balance and able to use tools and carry materials while climbing ladders * Have sufficient hand strength and dexterity to use industry specific tools – power and small hand tools * Ability to distinguish colors and fine print accurately * Walk briskly at least 30 minutes at a time * *Willing and able to travel 100%.
