Mott MacDonald is looking to welcome a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our team from either Pensacola, FL or Jacksonville, FL.
You’ll work alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team of engineers, designers, and project managers.

Under direction and guidance, your responsibilities will include:
Providing engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of project challenges.
Providing electrical design support for Mott MacDonald’s design projects during construction, (such as addressing contractor RFIs, submittals, etc.
), and providing technical reviews and comments on designs completed by others, as applicable.
Providing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design deliverables, including but not limited to: drawings, technical specifications, opinions of probable construction costs, construction schedules, etc.
Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
Preparation of thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches
Continuous improvement of job-related, engineering technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance
Development of effective oral and written communication skills
Maintaining accurate records and files
Supporting the company’s goals and representing the company positively and professionally
Candidate Specification
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
Successfully completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, from an ABET accredited program.
PE licensure in the State of Florida is required, or ability to obtain with 3 months.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Electrical Engineering, preferably in support of water/wastewater infrastructure, vertical facilities, and/or transportation projects.
Experience in the electrical and controls systems design for water and wastewater plant process and pumping systems is desired
Required Code and Standard Knowledge: NEC, IESNA, NFPA 70E, IEEE Color Book Series;
Required Software Capabilities: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SKM or ETAP, Computer Based Lighting Software.
Strong interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a team environment and directing/managing the work completed by others, including subconsultant team members
Organized and a self-starter
Effective in both verbal and written communications
