Our asset management software implementation group is expanding and we have an immediate need for a full time candidate to join our team.
We are seeking teammates to assist with the implementation of Cityworks AMS/PLL software suite for municipal and county governments throughout the state of Florida… and beyond.
Knowledge of, or experience in the public works, utilities, or municipal government sector is a plus.
The Implementation GIS Specialist uses geographic information system expertise and applications to perform billable services to satisfy client needs profitably.
This position develops, plans, and implements complex GIS applications software for the system users and operators; designs and develops complex GIS database models and templates; writes, edits, installs, and verifies programs, and edits programs for accessing, maintaining, linking, and populating databases; develops and presents GIS system and cartographic mapping elements; integrates GIS elements with other technology for marketing and web-based communication; responds to difficult inquiries from end-users regarding GIS requirements; transposes complex data from records maps, CAD drawings, county landbase maps, demographic models, economic resources, and other source documents into GIS and/or related database; and participates in the development, maintenance, and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy of GIS information is maintained.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Technical Responsibility
Acquire, develop, build, and update relational databases.
Compile and analyze geodata and other data required to perform analysis.
Prepare graphics and maps of GIS data.
Provide technical mentoring and training to clients and co-workers.
Respond to inquiries from end-users.
Maintain and implement policies and procedures that ensure the accuracy of GIS information is maintained.
Work independently or as part of a team to perform technical activities consistent with project plans within project scope and budget.
Engage in continuing professional development.
Translates client's business requirements into application definitions, workflows, business processes, and solutions.
Creates and maintains system-related documentation, such as business, system, and functional requirements, process flows, status reports, and configuration worksheets.
Identifies problems and researches alternatives through testing and consulting with peers.
Oversees resource schedules and coordinates schedule updates to maximize productivity and revenue capture.
Prepares presentations, gains consensus from client and implementation team, and implements solutions.
Configures and deploys enterprise application and business processes.
Tracks and reports key performance indicators/metrics.
Supports business process testing of the application prior to end-user acceptance testing.
Prepares hand-off and custom project training documents.
Ensures that all projects are delivered on time and on target of the budgets.
Participates in cross-functional teams to explore process improvement initiatives, measure results, and refine processes to achieve business objectives.
Quality Program Responsibility
Assume responsibility for the quality of work submitted.
Review designs and documents before submitting them to the next review level.
Responsible for proper quality assurance and quality control on projects in accordance with the Jones Edmunds Quality Program to ensure projects meet Company, industry, and client standards and expectations.
Adhere to project deadlines and keep the supervising Engineer, Project Lead, or Project Manager informed of any difficulties encountered on assignments.
Submit work for quality control review on time and in a complete format.
Management Responsibility
May manage tasks as part of a larger project.
Marketing Responsibility
Provide information to the marketing team and others in the Company as requested.
May interact directly with clients.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: BS/BA in Geography, Planning, Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or related field
Registration: None
Certification: None
Experience: 4 yrs; 1 year experience using ESRI software other enabling technologies especially ARCGIS, current Windows OS, web-enabling technologies, or related experience preferred.
Other: Experience working with RDBMSs, demonstrated competence with GIS software applications
