00 Posting Closing Date: 01/28/2024 Total Compensation Estimator Tool FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH - OPS OPEN COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITY Your Specific Responsibilities: Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications.
Confers with staff, users, and management to determine requirements for new systems or modifications.
Reads technical manuals, confers with users, and conducts computer diagnostics to determine nature of problems and provide technical assistance.
Enters commands and observes system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
Tests and monitors software, hardware, and peripheral equipment to evaluate use, effectiveness, and adequacy of product for user.
Refers major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
Inspects equipment and reads order sheets to prepare for delivery to users.
Provides authoritative information or advice on computer systems and programs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Qualifications: Knowledge of appropriate procedures for using, and ability to use specific equipment or machines to meet defined quality and quantity standards.
Knowledge of appropriate data collection policy and procedures, filing systems, data management systems, and programs.
Ability to compile, assimilate, organize, and store electronic information.
Ability to instruct and train employees by providing information related computer technology and software.
Knowledge in specific areas and to keep current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.
Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet CHD needs.
Ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues.
Ability to understand internal/external customer technologies and problem resolution techniques and communicate with these customers as needed.
Ability to listen to technology-based symptom descriptions; to analyze problem; to respond effectively and to provide feedback and assistance on problems.
Ability to use efficient and cost-effective approaches to integrate technology into the workplace and improve program effectiveness.
Ability to understand the impact of technological change on the organization.
