General Description / Primary Purpose The Senior Business Systems Analyst, under the direction of an Assistant Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs.
Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs.
Essential Duties Job Function - Analyzes business processes and workflows with the objective of finding out how they can be improved or automated.
- Facilitate process workshops, after which they document any information elicited using process maps and business requirements documents.
- Supports PMO Project Managers, primarily through the Initiate and Feasibility phases of a project, by facilitating process workshops that involve analyzing business processes and eliciting business and functional requirements.
- Develops process maps in Visio and builds very detailed requirements documentation in Excel.
- Assists in the development and delivery of training materials related to Project Framework Methodology.
- Supervises other Business Systems Analysts in the PMO.
- During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.
Percentage Of Time Posting Detail Information Marginal Functions Serve on committees, task forces, and work groups that pertain to teaching in support of on-line learning, as assigned by the Director of Project Management Office.
Required Qualifications This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and one year of experience directly related to the job functions; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and three years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 7 years of direct experience.

Organizational and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Windows/Macintosh operating system and related applications.
Familiarity with applications in support of on-line learning, including web course development and distance learning.
