*Overview*
Laurie Preschool is seeking a qualified a full-time teacher.
Our preschool has served children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in the Mandarin community for over 75 years and is accredited by FCIS.
We pride ourselves on low teacher-to-child ratios and on staffing all our classrooms with two teachers.
Our teachers foster a peaceful and productive work environment for the children in their care, while delivering subject matter in a way that is engaging and appropriate for the developmental stage of each child.

*Work schedule*
Monday through Friday, Full-Time, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
*Responsibilities*
* Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for student
* Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents.
* Communicate effectively and professionally with preschool staff, preschool children, parents and families.
* Maintain the health and safety of all children.
* Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child.
* Ensure licensing standards are followed.
* Comply with the laws and regulations relating to childcare.
*Qualifications*
* Completed 45 state-mandated training hours with the Department of Children and Families
* Current First Aid & CPR training
* Caring and nurturing attitude towards children
* Positive and patient demeanor
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including digital communication
*Preferred*
* Experience in a licensed child care facility
* Child Development Associate (CDA) or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (FCCPC) earned within the last five (5) years; or
* An Associate’s Degree or higher in child development; or
* An Associate’s Degree or higher in an unrelated field with at least 6 credit hours in early childhood education or child development; or
* A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in early childhood education, pre-kindergarten or primary education, preschool education, or family and consumer science.
